Transportation services are what makes a day and night difference in your village’s development speed in Manor Lords. And for that, you can either use oxen or get horses to do the delivery missions. However, these two work and cost differently, which you’ll have to consider with our ox vs horse review in Manor Lords.
How To Get Oxen and Horses in Manor Lords
You can acquire oxen and horses from the Hitching Posts in Manor Lords. These constructions are available at the start, with one ox at your service. If you want more, however, you’ll have to buy them using Regional Wealth.
Every Hitching Post can house one ox or a horse. Upgrading the Hitching Post to level 2 will turn the post into a Small Stable, allowing you to have two oxen or horses. You can order an ox or a horse once a month for any Hitching Posts or Small Stables you have. Remember, you’d need at least one family assigned to the post to take care of the oxen and provide faster transportation services in your village.
Ox Vs Horse in Manor Lords
The key difference between oxen and horses in Manor Lords is the speed. Horses cost more to buy, but they can deliver the goods much faster than an ox. However, oxen are much better of a help when it comes to transporting heavy stuff.
So the best you can do is to have both in your village for different purposes. Build a Hitching Post or a Small Stable with 2 oxen near your Logging Camps, Sawpits, or anywhere that heavy transportation is needed. On the other hand, consider building posts with horses near trading stations for faster delivery of the goods.
Manor Lords is currently available to play on PC via Steam and Game Pass.
