Reports of the impending reconciliation between Prince Harry and his dad King Charles have been making the rounds, but where does Meghan Markle stand in all of these? With Harry’s visit to the UK to champion an Invictus Games anniversary drawing closer, the tension surrounding his long-anticipated reunion with his royal family is becoming more prevalent. Despite claims suggesting the senior royals extended the invitation for a reunion to Harry’s kids Archie and Lilibeth as well, it seems unlikely that neither the little ones nor their mom would join him.
The Truth Behind Prince Charle’s Impending Reconciliation With Harry
A royal commentator recently revealed that while King Charles has “left the door” open to potentially reconcile with Prince Harry, he wants no part in Meghan Markle’s toxicity. According to Richard Fitzgerald, Meghan’s presence could potentially overshadow the “message of service.” Hence, she would be better off remaining in her luxurious Montecito neighborhood, looking after the kids. He divulged,
“It may not be definite that she isn’t coming, but it’s most unlikely. Meghan’s reception would overshadow the message of the service, and you wouldn’t want that.”
Richard also touched on the potential father-son reconciliation. He explained that while King Charles remained open to the reconciliation, it did not invariably guarantee a warm reception for Prince Harry. Contrariwise, it would take a long time, if ever, for things to become all-rosy between them, to the point of letting their guards down or involving Meghan and the kids.
In his interview, Richard described Meghan Markle as “toxic” a major problem when it comes to building future trust with the rest of the royals. He divulged,
“Meghan is toxic. I’m not saying the Sussexes would launch any attacks to the Royal Family at this sort of time. But what is very, very, clear is that if they want to build trust, they have a long way to go.”
Meghan Would Sit Out UK Visit to Avoid Hostile Reception
Aside from the possibility of Meghan “overshadowing the message of service,” or breeding toxicity, Richard believes the hostility she would most certainly face from the aggrieved royals and scorned press may be unbearable. Given Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s attitude to the UK press and the firm since Megxit, such treatment is to be expected.

But should the prince decide to have his nuclear family tag along, any hostile treatment would surely be kept at bay, and their security treated with utmost importance on UK soil.
