The Walking Dead returns this Sunday with an all new episode titled “New Best Friends.” When we last saw Rick and company in the episode “Rock in the Road,” they were surrounded by an unknown group. Clearly, this group was heavily armed and consisted of a considerable number. Was Rick terrified? No…he smiled. This Sunday we can expect to see more of just who this group is along with why Rick was so happy to see them. No doubt, Rick has plans to recruit this group in his fight against the Saviors. In a recent interview, Andrew Lincoln said we can expect a fast answer to whether this group will become friend or foe. Hopefully, we’ll also find out what became of Father Gabriel.

Outside of Rick and company, the episode will also be focusing on the Kingdom and its residents. While Ezekiel and Morgan are hesitant to go to war, Richard and Daryl clearly have other plans. Richard, in particular, seems so eager for war that he’s ready to force Ezekiel’s hand. From previous episodes, we’ve come to know that Richard has his own personal cache of weapons and supplies. It’s very possible that we’ll see Richard take the fight to the Saviors regardless of what Ezekiel says.

Is Carol going to go to war?

One of the most pressing questions from the previews is whether we’ll see a Daryl and Carol reunion. With Daryl having escaped the Sanctuary and now residing within the Kingdom, it seems inevitable that their paths would cross. Just how will Carol react to the death of those in Alexandria…particualry of Glenn and Abraham? While Carol may be eager to go to war with the Saviors with such news, at what cost will this come to her?

Are you following the Walking Dead? If so, what are your predictions for this episode? Will Carol and Daryl reunite? Will Carol be ready to go to war? Be sure to let us know in the comments below. “New Best Friends” airs this Sunday on AMC.
