Emily Ratajkowski has faced an immense wave of Instagram backlash after posting BTS “before and after” photos from this year’s Met Gala. Offering an insight into the hours of glam that went into her show-stopping red carpet look, the 32-year-old updated her account on Tuesday, one day after she and a slew of celebrities swarmed onto The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.
Going coquette with a cocktail and olives held up to her mouth as she opened a gallery of photos largely seeing her in a bathrobe, Emily included a rather provocative shot of herself all legs spread from marbled bathroom counters, also flashing her backside as she shared a snap of herself in a sheer dress. Fans were quick to slam the My Body author, who is known for her feminist views.
Emily Ratajkowski Shows Met Gala BTS On Instagram
Posing in a luxurious white bathrobe as she sent out girly vibes in her opening snap, Emily stunned fans with her heavy makeup already applied. Dripping in diamond jewelry, the swimwear designer also rocked a lined lip as she wore her dark locks up in a bun. Her robe, meanwhile, was off-the-shoulder.
Taking a phone call as she sat from bathroom countertops and with her dark-piped robe worn open in the second photo, Emily showed off her supermodel figure in only briefs worn beneath the robe, also offering a cleavage flash in her rather revealing look. The mom of one eventually showed fans her vintage Alexander McQueen for Givenchy dress, one donned for the 2024 Met Gala After-Party. Having flashed her chest on the red carpet at the main event as she went sheer in Versace, the catwalk queen this time slipped into party mode for another see-through look complete with high heels.
Fans Are Telling Her To Wear Clothes
In a caption summing up her night, Emily wrote: “Before & after (wearing givenchy by McQueen).”
The comments section does not appear to be sending EmRata much love. Gaining likes was a fan stating: “Wasn’t it the one [sic] wrote a book about how men are s*xualizing her?”
“Still naked… where’s before and after it’s all the same nudity.. I swear this woman’s whole personality is her body,” another said. One fan hurtfully called the Versace ambassador “vulgar,” even claiming that her looks are never “elegant.” Again highlighting the many instances when Emily has spoken of women only being appreciated for their bodies, a fan angrily wrote: “Complains about being called a bimbo but acts like nothing else but one.”
Emily does not appear to have responded to the backlash. The star dropped jaws in her silver, floor-length Versace number as she attended Monday night’s event while braless, then partying it up in her strappy Givenchy outfit.
