God of War Ragnarok will soon be losing its PlayStation 5 exclusivity by making its way to PC, according to reliable leaker and dataminer, Billbil-kun. The leaker believes that the PC version of Kratos and Atreus’ adventures through the land of the Norse gods will be officially announced this month by Sony.
According to the leak, Sony will be holding a PlayStation Showcase event in May 2024, which will reportedly have Silent Hill 2, God of War Ragnarok PC, and some other titles as well.
Sony has been porting its games over to PC for a while now, and whenever a few years go by after a major release, the PC version isn’t far behind. And with the recent addition of PlayStation Trophies on PC, ports are likely to get even more love. God of War Ragnarok originally came out in November 2022, making it high time for it to get a PC version like its predecessor.

According to PlayStation, Ragnarok sold over 5.1 million units in its first week alone and crossed 11 million within the first 10 weeks. This made it the fastest-selling first-party PlayStation game ever. As of the end of 2023, Sony Santa Monica’s biggest game to date has sold over 15 million copies worldwide.
God of War Ragnarok recently received a free DLC expansion titled Valhalla in December 2023, which puts us back in the shoes of Kratos accompanied by his ever-talkative companion, Mimir. The DLC adds a significant amount of content for free, in a rogue-lite format that has never been seen in the series before. The story additions alone merit checking it out, as it is the epilogue to the Norse saga. The new Valhalla mode has a lot of replay value as well. Being free, it will likely come bundled with the PC version of God of War Ragnarok.
