Looking for a new home? Planet Earth not doing it for you? Well NASA has just announced there is some new property on the market. The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration announced at a recent press conference that within the Trappist-1 System, they have discovered several Earth-like planets. An infrared telescope launched in 2003 known as the Spitzer Space Telescope was used to discover the planets. The Spitzer noticed the exoplanets by monitoring dips in light as the planets pass in front of the sun. The dip in light level also helps distinguish the approximate size of the planet. Three of the seven earth sized planets are within the systems habitable range from the sun.

This, therefore, led scientists to theorize that these planets may, in fact, have breathable air, liquid water and possibly even lifeforms of some kind. However finding out the answer to these questions isn’t within our immediate grasp. The planets although cosmologically close are over 40 light years away in distance. So even at the speed of light, something we are still some time away from achieving, it would take us 40 years to reach the system.

However, if you want to find out more about a star system you can reach in less than a month, check out some of our articles on Mass Effect: Andromeda. Thenerdstash.com has recently published several articles to do with Mass Effect: Andromeda’s revamped decision-making system and how weapons can now be modded and named. Bioware has also recently published several new videos’s highlighting the flexibility of Mass Effect Andromeda’s skill trees. And identified the 6 companions you can acquire within the game. Jaal (an Argaran), Vetra (a Turian), Peebee (An Asari), Drack (a Krogan), Liam (a Human) and Cora (a Human). For everything on NASA, Mass Effect: Andromeda and all things space, stay tuned to Thenerdstash.com.
