In a recent Instagram Q&A session with fans, Jenelle had no problem being an open book about almost everything. When fans asked questions about the 32-year-old’s mom, Barbara Evans, she issued a plea to fans to cut it out.

But when fans asked questions about Jenelle’s mom, Barbara Evans, that’s when Jenelle put some limits on the discussion.
Listen, everyone needs to stop bringing up my mom. She has caused so much damage within the past year, I need to heal before she’s ever brought back into my life again.

Jenelle didn’t elaborate any further on that “damage,” though the two have had their share of disagreements throughout the years.
Sources Say Mother and Daughter Are Working On Their Complicated Relationship
Jenelle and Barbara Evans have had a complicated relationship for a long time. It’s played out across 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom. While Barbara has been an immense help to Jenelle, particularly in raising oldest Jace, the two women have long struggled to see each other’s perspectives.
Sources tell The Ashley that the two are “back on speaking terms,” but conversations around filming have been contentious between the two for some time.
“Whether or not that will translate into Barb coming back to filming is unknown right now,” the source shares.
Jenelle last got upset with her mom about filming last year, when, amid a number of runaways by Jenelle’s teen son, Barbara was reportedly speaking to Teen Mom producers. As a result, Jenelle tried to file a restraining order against Barbara, but it was never granted.
