Has Miranda Lambert Finally Found the Secret to Wedded Bliss?

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton were once one of country music’s hottest couples, so when they split in 2015, it left some fans feeling surprised and even devastated. The Bluebird songstress has since moved on and is happily married to Brendan McLoughlin. Despite their whirlwind romance, they still appear to be happy together (and have lasted longer than some people may have initially expected). So, could she have finally found the secret to wedding bliss?

Miranda Lambert Discusses Her Marriage to Brendan McLoughlin

Miranda Lambert married Brendan McLoughlin on Jan. 26, 2019, less than three months after meeting on the set of Good Morning America, where he had been working security. Five years later, they are still going strong (although they are no strangers to relationship rumors). While Lambert and Shelton were not meant to be, could she have found the person she could finally commit to forever? Maybe. But more importantly, Lambert and McLoughlin realize the one thing that makes for a strong relationship is communication.

“We just talk it out, whatever it is, we talk about everything,” Lambert told People in a recent interview. “And I think communication is super important, especially because women, we expect men to know what we’re thinking and they don’t. We got to tell them.”

Does Miranda Lambert’s Marriage Work?

For those who think the couple doesn’t have much in common (given that one is a musician and the other is a retired police officer) that does not appear to be the case. Although Lambert offered no more insight into her relationship, she did share how she prioritizes her animals and her family when she has time off. “Animals are great,” she said. “That’s my downtime. I have a house in Austin, so I’m there a lot. That’s where we’re headed for a couple of weeks to do some work stuff and see family.”

She continued, “But my animals are all in Tennessee outside of Nashville and so that’s where I sort of go recharge my batteries. But everybody’s good. Yeah, there’s no downtime. We’re working right now, but it’s good. It’s a good thing.” Miranda Lambert is not one to overshare about her marriage to Brendan McLoughlin, but from what she has said, they appear to be happy and committed.
