Recently, the reason Biel and Timberlake are keeping their kids away from the spotlight came to light. Turns out the loving parents just want normal lives for their sons, Silas and Phineas.
The cities of LA and New York are home to many celebrities and their kids. However, for Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake, life in middle America is better, especially when it comes to raising their kids. On Wednesday’s episode of SiriusXM’s Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa, Biel opened up about her family’s decision to move away from LA. The actress told Ripa it was simply to give her sons some normalcy, as going anywhere without being noticed in the big cities was hard.
“You get hammered on the East Coast, you kind of get hammered on the West Coast. That’s why we don’t live there anymore,” Biel said. “We’re just trying to create some normalcy for these kids, and we wanna share our family with our loved ones and friends.”
Biel further admitted that she understood her and Timberlake’s jobs required facing the public. However, she said their kids never chose such a life. According to her, not exposing them was the goal until Biel and Timberlake’s kids were grown enough to decide if they wanted to be in the spotlight or not.

The Total Recall star also spoke to Ripa about how Silas was dealing with the difficulties of growing older. She admitted the nine-year-old was experiencing growing pains. “He’ll be waking up in the middle of the night. His legs hurt. His back hurts,” the mom of two said. Biel added that she and Timberlake were astonished by how fast Silas was growing and already looking different. “Justin and I are like, ‘Wow, this kid is looking different all of a sudden.’ He’s just growing! It’s so amazing!” she remarked. So far, parenthood has been an amazing experience for Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake. The pair hope to continue in marital bliss while giving their kids the best upbringing.
