Butker told all the hardworking women who had just gotten their degrees that the most important role in their lives would be the one of “homemakers.” The Kicker sparked an outrage after delivering the 20-minute speech at Benedictine College. Butker even used his own wife as an example of his backward views.
According to The Daily Mail, Kelce discussed this event on the latest episode of his New Heights podcast. However, In a shocking development, Travis Kelce defended his teammate. Although, Kelce made it clear that he did not agree with Butker’s views.

“However, when it comes down to his views and what he said at the Saint Benedict’s commencement speech, those are his. I can’t say I agree with the majority of it or just about any of it outside of just him loving his family and his kids. And I don’t think that I should judge him by his views, especially his religious views.”
