Caitlin Clark has been on the struggle bus since being drafted to the WNBA by the Indiana Fever. Clark and the Fever have started the season out with a 0-5 record. Clark had 10 turnovers in her first game with the Fever, and they just can not get a win. However, on the other end of things, Angel Reese and her Chicago Sky have started off the season 2-1. Reese, after their latest win, even took a shot at Clark on social media.
According to The Daily Mail, the former LSU star tweeted and then deleted a post stating that the Chicago Sky don’t need fancy things to win basketball games—things such as a charter flight, which the Fever got earlier this season.
“And that’s on getting a WIN in a packed arena, not just cause of one player on our charter flight. #SKYTOWN,” she wrote, with a blowing-a-kiss emoji at the end.
Caitlin Clark has been at the forefront of the battle to get women’s sports on the map. However, Angel Resse has been an unsung hero in the fight. Reese beat Clark twice while they were in college. Reese also won two NCAA titles in those same seasons.
Angel Reese wants the world to know that it is not just the Caitlin Clark show anymore. Reese and her Chicago Sky are here to stay as an interesting college rivalry has re-awakened in the WNBA.
Clark recently got some advice from LeBron James, who also started his professional career out by going 0-5. The King said that fans needed to cut Clark some slack as Rome was not built in a day.
As far as Angel Reese is concerned, she is the one people need to be watching. Will Caitlin Clark be able to respond to this, or will her struggles continue? Only Time will tell, as fans everywhere are watching closely.
