Church of Scientology Beefs With Tom Cruise Over New Lifestyle
Tom Cruise has lived for decades, living, breathing, and following the Church of Scientology’s strict guidelines. However, new reports reveal that for the past year or so, Tom has seemingly begun to stray from the church, and they are growing very concerned.
SheKnows reports that, based on a recent InTouch Weekly interview, the Church of Scientology fears losing one of its highest-profile celebrity members. Sources close to the situation say that in 2023, there were rumblings that Tom Cruise was allegedly beginning to pull away.
The actor was reportedly approached by Scientology higher-ups and made a grand gesture to prove his commitment by flying his helicopter to the Church of Scientology’s headquarters in London. However, this has not eased the U.S.-based church’s worries, and they are becoming very vocal about their distance from Tom Cruise over the matter.
Tom’s Focus Shifts From Religion To Women
The Los Angeles, California Church of Scientology feels salty that Tom Cruise no longer spends as much time there. Insiders claim that Tom is no longer present in L.A. as much and is a problem.
“Tom is only in L.A. every six months or so, but he used to be such a huge presence among the church community and at the church facilities and gatherings in Hollywood and in Los Feliz, and that’s simply not the case now,” a source close to L.A.’s Scientology community said. “It’s clear he comes to L.A. when he has movie business stuff to attend to, but if he needs to practice Scientology, he’s doing it out of Florida, if at all.”
There is another issue, according to the church. Tom Cruise has taken more of an interest in dating and dating outside the Scientology community. “You also see him chasing after women who clearly have no interest in Scientology, which is very telling about where Tom’s heart truly is at the moment. How great would it be for the church if Tom dated a longtime, true-blue member? But that’s not what’s happening at all!”
Tom Cruise’s change in attitude toward the Church of Scientology has ruffled a few feathers. Time will tell whether the actor and the church smooth things over or if Tom Cruise is ready to make a significant move regarding Scientology.
