Rover is an anomaly among the Resonators in Wuthering Waves, and this is precisely what makes them unique. Rover is the only playable unit able to switch from Spectro to Havoc attribute, so they need a specific build for each one. In addition, Rover will have a different role depending on the element they have equipped, so their items will also vary. Since there are two characters in one, the grind for Echoes, weapons, and other objects will be long but rewarding.
Best Weapons for Rover in Wuthering Waves
For the early versions of this gacha, there was already a variety of swords and other weapons. However, Wuthering Waves allows your Spectro and Havoc build of Rover to use the same weapons. These are your best sword options:
Spectro & Havoc |
---|
Emerald of Genesis (5-star) Increases Energy Regen by 12.8%. When Resonance Skill is released, increases ATK by 6%, stacking up to 2 time(s). This effect lasts for 10s. |
Commando of Conviction (4-star) When Intro Skill is released, increases ATK by 15%, lasting for 15. |
Lunar Cutter (4-star) Equipped Resonator gains 6 stack(s) of Oath upon entering the battlefield. Each stack increases ATK by 2%, up to 6 stacks. This effect can be triggered 1 time(s) every 12s. Oath reduces by 1 stack(s) every 2s. Equipped Resonator gains an additional 6 stack(s) of Oath upon defeating an enemy. |
Emerald delivers an ATK bonus, but where it stands out is its Energy Regen stat, making it an ideal weapon, but more for the late game. Commando is a weapon that adapts perfectly to most characters and improves its Intro Skill buff. The difference between Lunar Cutter is that this sword is better for characters that hardly go out to the field, and Command needs your Resonator at least 15s active in the field.
Best Echo Sets for Rover
Although Havoc and Spectro Rover share similar stats for their build, their rotation in Wuthering Waves dramatically changes depending on their attribute. Rover Havoc is more offensive-oriented, and Rover Spectro is more of a hybrid Resonator, or in other words, more flexible. For each case, these Echos will be your best allies for each Rover:
Spectro | Havoc |
---|---|
Celestial Light 5 Set: Upon using Intro Skill, Spectro DMG increases by 30% for 15s. Main Echo: Mourning Aix. Effect: Transform into Mourning Aix and perform 2 consecutive claw attacks, each attack dealing 157.44% and 236.16% Spectro DMG respectively. After the transformation, increase current character’s Spectro DMG by 12.00% and Resonance Liberation DMG by 12.00% for 15s. Best Stats: CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate, and Spectro DMG. | Sun-sinking Eclipses 5 Set: Upon using Basic Attack or Heavy Attack, Havoc DMG increases by 7.5%, stacking up to four times for 15s. Main Echo: Dreamless. Effect: Transform into Dreamless and perform 6 consecutive attacks. The first 5 attacks deal 54.08% Havoc DMG each, and the last attack deal 270.40% Havoc DMG. The DMG of this Echo Skill is increased by 50% during the first 5s after Rover-Havoc casts Resonance Liberation. Best Stats: CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate, and Havoc DMG. |
Best Rover Team Comps
In Solaris-3, there are already several Resonators, so you can create your own team, although I wouldn’t say that Rover Spectro or Havoc have synergy with all of them. With the Spectro attribute, your Rover can work decently with any DPS but not exceptionally well. However, this changes when compared to Rover Havoc:
Spectro | Havoc |
---|---|
Any DPS – Main DPS Rover – Sub DPS Verina – Support The greatest synergy is with Verina, thanks to her Outro Skill, which boosts all the units. In addition, Verina can gather enough energy in a short time, so the rest of your Resonators have enough time to execute their combos. | Rover – Main DPS Danjin / Sanhua – Secondary DPS Verina – Support Equip your Rover and Danjin with the same Echo to maximize their DMG. If you are using Sanhua, you can take advantage of her Outro Skill to receive bonus ATK DMG. |
In case you don’t have Verina, Baizhi is the only other healer in the game at the moment. However, this doesn’t mean that Baizhi is bad because she also gives a buff with her Outro Skill. The downplay is that the buff only goes to the unit you use next and not to the party. Still, for now, these are the best builds and teams for Rover in Wuthering Waves. We’ll update this guide in the future when other potential new attributes become available for this protagonist.
