Big changes are afoot for Sony’s subscription-based streaming service PlayStation Now. Brian Dunn, Senior Marketing Manager for PlayStation Now, revealed in a blog post that PS4 gamers will some be amongst the games available to be streamed to your PlayStation 4 or Windows PC. “We’re excited to announce that PS Now’s catalog is set to grow even further, as we’ll be expanding to include a new platform: PlayStation 4 games. All of the games in the service, including PS4 games, will be included with a single PS Now subscription. We’ll share more information as we get closer to launch, so stay tuned.”

PlayStation Now will start private trials in the next few weeks to test out the operation of PlayStation 4 games on the service. Current subscribers to PlayStation Now may receive an e-mail invitation in the near future asking them to participate in the trials. If you are not a current subscriber but are interested in the service, Sony is offering free seven-day trials of PlayStation Now to allow gamers a chance to test the service that directly accesses the cloud to eliminate all of those pesky download times.

Currently, there are 483 PS3 games that can be played on your PS4 via the PlayStation Now service.  The announcement did not indicate how many PS4 titles will be part of the streaming service once the current generation of games become available. Should Sony start with some of the first exclusive’s that came out for PS4 back in the waning days of 2013 and early 2014 then Knack, Killzone: Shadow Fall and Infamous Second Son could be good bets. As older sports titles such as WWE 2K15 and NBA 2K14 are currently listed as among the most popular PS3 games on PlayStation Now, it also stands to reason that some older versions of PlayStation”s baseball exclusive MLB: The Show could also appear.
