Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good are going strong against all odds. The controversial couple made a red carpet appearance for the first time since Majors’ domestic violence saga. They became an item shortly after the actor was accused of physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend in March 2023. Although many believed the pair were together just for appearances during Majors’ trial, they are proving that their connection was indeed real.
The lovebirds stepped out on Monday for the 2024 NAACP Theatre Awards in Los Angeles. Good and Majors took over the red carpet with their love, barely keeping their hands off each other. For the event, the Lovecraft County actor rocked a grey double-breasted suit with simple black dress shoes. His partner, however, stole the show in a gorgeous pink dress with a thigh-high slit that flaunted her toned legs. She paired the outfit with matching open-toed pink heels and accessorized with a silver statement clutch. Per Daily Mail, the duo couldn’t stop smiling as they posed for a picture, with Majors’ arm tenderly resting on his Good’s lower back.
The red carpet appearance comes more than a month after Majors was sentenced in his assault case. The disgraced Marvel star’s troubles date back to March 2023 when he was arrested in New York for attacking his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. He was declared guilty in December after a two-week trial.
Jonathan Majors Escaped Jail Time in Assault Case
The jury convicted Major on one count of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment. He, was, however, acquitted of two other charges — one count of intentional assault and one count of aggravated harassment. For his sentencing, the judge spared the 34-year-old of any jail time. Instead, Majors was sentenced to a one-year intervention program in Los Angeles. He will participate in 12 months of counseling, going for a session per week. If he doesn’t fully comply with the program, a jail time will be unavoidable.
Following the sentence, Majors’ filed a motion to get the criminal charges vacated, but it was denied. He is still embroiled in a civil suit with Jabbari, but the Creed III actor seems to be focused on enjoying his best life with Good.
