Rumors about Martin Lawrence’s health have been making the rounds lately, and the actor wants them to stop. Recently, he addressed the speculations, assuring fans that his health was fine. The Martin Lawrence rumors began a week ago after a clip emerged showing the Hollywood icon looking disoriented at the Bad Boys: Ride or Die premiere in Los Angeles. Fans couldn’t help but worry as Will Smith appeared to be supporting Lawrence to walk on the red carpet. People on social media also pointed out how Lawrence looked less energetic than Smith.
Amid the growing concerns about Martin Lawrence’s health, the actor has assured fans that everything is okay. Lawrence made the revelation while appearing on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning on Tuesday. During the chat, the host, Ebro Darden, directly asked the comedian about the internet rumors. “Is there anything you want to say to the people because they’re concerned about your health,” Darden asked. Replying, Lawrence revealed there was no need for fans to worry as he was sound in health. “I’m fine. I’m in God’s hands.” He added, “I’m blessed, you know. I’m glad to be waking up every day. I’m all good. No need for people to be concerned,” he said. Later, toward the end of the interview, Lawrence insisted he was fine and asked the rumors to stop. “I’m healthy as hell. Stop the rumors!” he said.
Considering that the 59-year-old has suffered health emergencies in the past, the Martin Lawrence health rumors come as no surprise. In 1996, the movie star was briefly hospitalized following an incident where he ran into traffic cursing and screaming. According to a doctor, Lawrence was suffering from dehydration and extreme exhaustion. Three years later, he suffered another emergency, collapsing from severe exhaustion while exercising. The incident caused Lawrence to slip into a coma for three days, but thankfully, he recovered just fine. Meanwhile, Lawrence’s remarks about his health have failed to assure fans that he’s okay. Many still believe the actor is unwell, with some speculating that he even suffered a stroke. In all, prayers have gone up for Lawrence, and hopefully, the actor will remain in good health.
