Jennifer Aniston has raised eyebrows over her fashion choice as she was recently photographed attending a funeral in a skimpy sundress. The Friends actress, 55, was followed by the paparazzi as she attended the funeral of manager Aleen Keshishian’s mother in Los Angeles this week.
Looking stylish in a spaghetti-strap sundress, high heels, and a cardigan, Jennifer put on a chic display, however users online were quick to slam her outfit as “inappropriate” for a funeral. Aniston had last made funeral headlines for attending the private funeral hosted for former costar Matthew Perry, who died suddenly aged 54 last October.
Jennifer Aniston Turns Heads In Funeral Sundress
Photographed at St Leon Armenian Cathedral in Burbank, CA, Jennifer looked summery as she slipped her curves into a black maxi dress covered in floral prints that added pops of white and green.
Going figure-hugging as she highlighted her toned figure, the actress rocked a slightly low neckline, with the ultra-thin straps drawing attention to her trim upper body. Completing her outfit with a tan-colored cardigan worn open, plus a strappy pair of black heels, Jen kept glam in shades, carrying a small shoulder bag and wearing multiple pendant necklaces to accessorize her look. The sitcom star sported her layered blonde locks down, here giving a nod to the “Rachel cut” revamp she went viral for at the 2024 Golden Globes.
Told It’s Completely ‘Inappropriate’
The images were published by The Daily Mail, and it didn’t take long for Jen’s Wednesday outing to garner comments.
1,000 users have now agreed with a comment reading: “Oh dear, Jen didn’t get the memo…. Its a funeral not party. Call me old-fashioned , but i think It’s quite distasteful to turn up looking half dressed at a funeral.” Agreeing as they also deemed the look a bit much for a funeral, another replied: “Have a bit of dignity when attending a funeral. Dress is totally inappropriate.”
“That dress is definitely not appropriate for a Funeral celebrity or not just don’t do it,” another remarked. Unfortunately, for Aniston, the comments just kept on coming. The LolaVie founder also found herself told: “I don’t wear strapless dresses with thigh high sIits to funerals. But that’s just me. I lived in California and don’t recall anyone dressing like that for funerals, but it’s been a while, maybe the dress code for funerals has changed in La La Land.”
Jennifer is, elsewhere, continuing to prove a style icon. She just wowed fans in a red dress from brand Reformation while promoting her hit series The Morning Show.
