Does Kinds of Kindness Have a Post-Credits Scene?

Should you stay in your seat?

Yorgos Lanthimos’s first film after Poor Things is Kinds of Kindness, a triptych consisting of three separate but thematically connected stories. The film stars Jesse Plemons (Game Night), Emma Stone (Poor Things), Hong Chau (The Menu), Margaret Qualley (Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood), and Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man). It’s a black comedy with all the aforementioned actors playing multiple roles across the anthology. Because the film contains three separate stories, it does have multiple credits. Let’s see if Kinds of Kindness has a post-credits scene at the end of the main credits.

Is There a Post-Credits in Kinds of Kindness?

You should stay seated once the fourth set of credits begins to roll because Kinds of Kindness does have a post-credits scene. Luckily, it plays quite quickly after the main credits begin, and isn’t too tied to the film’s plot. Unless you count it being tied to the title of the last segment, that is. But, don’t feel too bad if you want to leave right when the credits start, especially as the runtime clocks in at 165 minutes, so you might need to rush off to the bathroom.

Kinds of Kindness didn’t need a post-credits scene, especially considering that it’s made up of three different stories. While it does feature the only character to show up in all three segments, any sort of a post-credits stinger is a surprise. But, it works because the scene itself is comedic, and you’ll leave the theater with one final chuckle, while hopefully not being too shaken by the graphic content in the final segment. So, if you want to see everything Kinds of Kindness has to entertain you, you should stick around for the post-credits scene.

It’s unlikely that Kinds of Kindness will get any type of sequel, but it’s probably safe to assume that Lanthimos and Stone will work together again. In fact, both Plemons and Stone will seemingly star in Lanthimos’s next film, Bugonia. It will mark the fourth collaboration for Lanthimos and Stone after The Favorite, Poor Things, and Kinds of Kindness. On the other hand, it will be Plemons’ second collaboration with the director. Hopefully, Kinds of Kindness was the start of a beautiful friendship.
