Tyla and Kai Cenat share a great platonic bond, but the streamer seemingly harbors some romantic feelings for the singer. Recently, Cenat spent some time with North West for her birthday bash, and it was the perfect opportunity for the 11-year-old to play matchmaker for the duo. Cenat captured the lovely moment in a 25-minute-long vlog, which he shared on YouTube on Tuesday. The clip showed the YouTuber with North and her friends looking joyful inside a movie bus. Cenat then called Tyla on FaceTime to wish the celebrant a happy birthday.
He handed the phone over to North, who, alongside her friends, screamed in excitement upon seeing the Grammy winner. “You’re my idol,” one of the girls said before North chipped in, “You’re so pretty.” After exchanging pleasantries with Tyla, the young socialite dropped the embarrassment-inducing remark. “Kai likes you!” North told Tyla. Immediately, the YouTuber went into a defensive mood, countering with, “No, stop! Stop North. Tyla it’s North’s birthday.” The girls then went quiet as the Water hitmaker wished North West a happy birthday. On the other hand, Cenat turned to the camera to express his frustration over the celebrant’s remark before taking his phone back.
Despite ending the conversation with Tyla, North’s friends still took things further. They claimed the content creator was jealous because the singer friend-zoned him. The “friend-zone” remark seemingly stemmed from a Tyla and Kai Cenat Livestream, which the 22-year-old shared a snippet of in the vlog. Back in March, the South African joined Cenat on his livestream to promote the release of one of her tracks. However, things took a different turn when Cenat asked Tyla out on a date but was rejected. “Are you asking me for real? Don’t do that! You can’t do that on a whole live thing. Um, but we’re friends though. Yeah, we’re friends,” she said. Despite the rejection, it is great that Tyla and Kai Cenat maintain a good relationship.
