LeBron’s oldest son, Bronny James, is predicted to be picked in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft. The father-son duo will not travel to New York for the draft day activities. Instead, the two will stay in Los Angeles and have a little draft party with friends and family.
Per The Sun, LeBron James is hoping to toast his son, as Bronny James’s name is called in New York. Although Bronny’s draft stock crashed after his medical scare, the 19-year-old is still expected to get picked. Unfortunately, the young man used to be a projected top-10 pick before his cardiac arrest.

“Bronny hasn’t been invited to the Green Room, which would have given the possibility for LeBron and co to attend the first round draft, so the family decided to have a party at home. An NBA source told The U.S. Sun. Bronny’s favorite food is BBQ, and everyone will enjoy some nice drinks with some loved ones, both family and friends of his from high school and USC.”
Bornny James is sitting around the 55th pick right now. However, many believe that The Los Angeles Lakers will come calling. LeBron has been said to be opting out of his contract with the Lakers, so drafting Bronny may be their way of trying to re-sign LeBron.
This might have been all part of LeBron James’ master plan, though. He has always wished to play alongside his son in the NBA, and now he might hold enough leverage to get him drafted by the Lakers.
If Bronny James is picked up by the Lakers, it could be a huge step for that organization. They could then get a commitment from LeBron and be able to make another huge trade without the fear of losing their franchise player. If LeBron James manipulated all of this to get his son drafted to his team, then that is just genius.
