LeBron James’ sons Bronny and Bryce James are looking to carve out their path in basketball, just like their father. 19-year-old Bronny hopes to get drafted in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft. Hours before Bronny James went unselected in the NBA Draft’s first round on Wednesday, LeBron penned an emotional message dedicated to his sons. Taking to his Instagram page, the 39-year-old expressed his pride in being a father. The LA Lakers star shared a carousel of photos featuring him and his sons. The snaps showed the trio playing basketball and working out together.
In the caption, LeBron clarified that there was no feeling better than raising his sons. “Not a feeling in the fkn world better than being around raising my boys to MEN! Pops over here getting emotional as hell just thinking about yall journey so far!” he wrote. LeBron James then appreciated his sons for allowing him to play a role in their decision-making processes. “Thank you both for allowing me to be your DAD and be apart of your compass through life’s trials and tribulations! ๐งก๐คด๐พ๐คด๐พ,” he wrote. The sight of LeBron James’s sons with their father warmed fans’ hearts. Many lauded the NBA star for being an intentional father and a huge inspiration to his boys.
Bronny James’s Name Missing From the NBA Draft First Round
Ahead of the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft on Wednesday, many had high expectations for the 19-year-old. However, 30 picks went by without Bronny James making it to the NBA Draft list. Even the Los Angeles Lakers passed on drafting the former USC player as the 17th overall pick. Instead, they selected Dalton Knecht, out of Tennessee. Bronny’s college teammate at Southern California, Isaiah Collier, also made it to the list, with the Utah Jazz picking him as number 29.
Meanwhile, Bronny’s NBA dream is still alive. Many have always tabbed the 6ft2 rising star as a second-round talent in this year’s draft. So, Bronny still may hear his name during the second round on Thursday afternoon.
