The center of the dessert featured the words, “Hooray you gay.” The 27-year-old accompanied the cake with a straightforward and funny explanation.
The Las Vegas Aces star revealed that the special gesture was something she did every year. “Every year I get my prideful teammates a cake for pride month. This year was top tier and straight to the point for em,” she wrote. Wilson also explained that having her vision come to fruition every year could be challenging. However, she was grateful to 2 B Loved Cheesecake for perfectly pulling it off. One of A’Ja Wilson’s gay teammates, Sydney Colson, also took to social media to appreciate the gesture. She posted the picture of A’Ja Wilson’s Pride Month cake and thanked her for being an Ally.
