Kate Beckinsale opened up about a health scare she suffered in a clapback at a troll. On Monday, the actress shared a video of herself rocking a crop top and bikini bottoms to Instagram. Beckinsale also seemed to be in a happy mood as she stood in front of a mirror, twerking at her reflection. She completed the beautiful look with black knee-high leather platform boots and a black hair net.

The post garnered many reactions from fans, but one comment from a troll caught the 50-year-old’s attention. “Go do some squats @katebeckinsale I think ur a** ran away,” the fan wrote. However, Kate Beckinsale didn’t hesitate to clapback at the troll. In her response, Kate Beckinsale detailed a terrifying health scare she suffered, which resulted in her drastic weight loss. “No actually, I watched my stepfather die quite shockingly, my mother has stage 4 cancer and I lost a lot of weight from stress and grief,” she noted. The Hollywood star also revealed she spent six weeks in the hospital after the grief burned a hole in her esophagus, causing her to vomit a large amount of blood.
“I found eating very hard and I just worked very very hard on a movie that was actually quite triggering because it also involved the theme of the death of my father,” she continued.
Beckinsale also let the troll know that she didn’t care about what they thought about her a**. “Maybe you should worry about your own f***ing a**. I suggest shoving something up it, like a large pineapple or a brick,” she concluded. Following her clapback, the Van Helsing actress also received much support from fans. Many encouraged Beckinsale to ignore the cruel comments and focus on being strong and healthy. Beckinsale has done well to recover from her health struggles. She also continues to share pictures and videos of herself on social media. These pictures and videos show her looking happy, and a comment from a nasty troll won’t take away her smile.
