Kate Upton was pumping major iron as she kept her workout fun and unusual in her April 2022 Instagram share. This year, the 31-year-old model made major headlines for her SI Swim return and proved she’s made of hard stuff in a video shared for her 6.6 million fans. With barbell weights decorated with donut motifs, she was proving that the small details can change everything.
In a video posted jointly with trainer Ben Bruno, Kate worked on her glutes in a move that Ben called “amazing,” and fans seemed to agree. Kate had also gone for her adored Instagram reality finish, one that’s a regular on her social media. Fans loved the donut action, with the barbell also including pizza motifs.

Using a black workout bench as she was filmed from an indoor space, Kate got busy lifting her barbell with her legs while placing her feet on the floor.
Going colorful in white leggings with yellow and pink stripes on them, the mom of one covered up her curves in an orange hoodie, although with those skintight pants on, she was showing off her killer legs.
Wearing her locks tied into an unfussy bun and with her dog hanging out nearby, Kate hoisted her hips up while supporting the impressive weight, working her legs and adding definition to her already-toned glutes. In an amusing swipe right, fans got the “reality” as Kate couldn’t even begin her move thanks to her dog clambering all over the place.
Toning Her Body Up
In a caption, Ben wrote: “Instagram vs. Reality. In the first slide, @kateupton crushes a set of eccentric single leg hip thrusts while Norman watches politely like a good boy. The second slide is what really happens before EVERY set. Gotta love it,” continuing:
“Seriously though, this is an amazing glute exercise, so take a minute to watch the video all the way through to get the key form tips so you can try it yourself.”
Kate has made workout headlines since. The star didn’t have much time to whip herself into magazine cover shape as SI Swim celebrated its 60th anniversary this year, yet she was on the cover. Upton ate balanced meals, also doing plenty of resistance work, plus cardio sessions two or three times per week.
Kate gained over 13,000 likes for her post. The star has even made her workouts a family affair, with fans getting adorable footage of 2018-born daughter Genevieve being affectionately used as a weight on Instagram.
