Chapter 4 of Terminal Escape Room is notably harder than the past couple chapters, especially chapter 1. It’s not necessarily that they’re harder to decipher, but rather the answer to the puzzles are randomized. However, the way the puzzles are solved is always the same. As long as you know that, you’re golden. Now, we have 90 minutes to solve chapter 4 of Terminal Escape Room, so let’s get through this Roblox walkthrough as quickly as possible!
Terminal Escape Room Chapter 4: Periodic Table Puzzle
I want you to make note of three areas in the room: the Reagent Shelf, the game of checkers on the counter, and the periodic table of the elements. These three areas are connected, and by solving the puzzle associated with them, you’ll come up with a unique password that unlocks the small safe in the wall, next to the Reagent Shelf.
Examine the game of checkers and note where every black piece is placed. If you then look at the how-to-play guide on the wall, it’ll actually tell you the positions of each piece. Write down the positions of the black pieces, from top to bottom, starting on the opposite end of the board.
When I read the board, I got C1, D2, F6, and C7. Keep in mind it’ll be different for you. When you’ve got your set of coordinates, head over to the Reagent Shelf.
Now, I want you to think of the Reagent Shelf as a checkerboard. Each reagent is like a checker piece and the storage box it occupies is like its own “square.” Each row and column shares the same letter and number assigned to the checkerboard on the how-to-play guide.
That means if you got, say, C1 like I did, then you’d examine the reagent that is located in the C column on the first row. For me, that’s Actinium. Do this for all four coordinates, then find those reagents on the periodic table. It’ll have an abbreviation you need to write down.
With all four abbreviations, you’ll spell a word. For me, I got “Action.” Punch that word into the keyboard on the wall, next to the Reagent Shelf, and take everything that’s in the safe drawer.
Let’s Play a Game of Tic-Tac-Toe
Around the lab are four games of tic-tac-toe going on at once. You’ll also notice each tic-tac-toe board has a beaker right next to it, all of which have different shapes. To the left of the Chemical Closet is a keypad that also resembles a tic-tac-toe board. This isn’t a coincidence!
Take a look at each match and find the winning space for the next player. The next player in question is whoever has fewer shapes on the board. As to the orientation, the section that has the notches will always be at the top of the tic-tac-toe board.
In my case, the first board had fewer Xs, so that means X would go next. With the notches at the top, I know the winning move will be the top-right corner. Note the winning position for all four games. Afterwards, examine the “Beaker Clean Up” poster above the checkerboard.
See how each beaker is numbered and of different shape? They match the beakers next to the games of tic-tac-toe. Using the keypad next to the Chemical Closet, select the spaces in order of the beakers and take everything inside the safe drawer.
While you’re at it, there’s another keypad on the other side of the Chemical Closet—punch in the code 1 – 9 – 6 – 0 and grab everything inside. The code is the same for everyone, so that one’s a freebie!
Terminal Escape Room Chapter 4: A Game of Dominoes
Before you can play a game of dominoes in Terminal Escape Room: Chapter 4, you need to find all the dominoes. Luckily, you collected most of them in the previous puzzles, but you’re still missing two.
Right next to the scale, in the corner of the lab, is a giant jug. You need to fill it with four bottles of water. You already have three from the previous puzzles and the last one is by the periodic table. Fill the jug, grab the remaining domino pieces and go over to the game of dominoes.
Now, place each domino so that each end touches another domino with the same number of dots. For example, the first domino has three dots, so the next domino it touches should also have three dots.
Since this puzzle has the same solution for everyone, I’ve mapped out the dominoes for you. Use my screenshot for the solution! You’ll be left with a single domino.
How to Complete All Four Mini-Puzzles
You might have noticed the four teal tiles on the floor of the lab. At the other end of the lap, to the left of the Storage Facility door, is what’s called the Fume Hood. That lonely domino you have? Use it on the Fume Hood and one of the teal tiles will light up. If you interact with the tile, you’ll be teleported to a minigame. There are three more after!
First up is the dollhouse puzzle, so follow the electrical line that starts at the tile portal and snakes its way to the top floor of the dollhouse. On the top floor you’ll see a series of tiles and a keypad. The code to the keypad is 5 – 4- 0 – 9. Head back to the lap the way you came and step into the next glowing tile portal.
Once again, follow the electrical line that starts from the portal and you’ll be led to a small house made of dominoes. Inside is a color wheel you can interact with. The key to winning is to touch the colors in the same sequence, then press the white light button along the bottom. It’s essentially a game of Simon says.
Before you use the next portal, take a screenshot of the cards on the table. When you then start the next puzzle, you can count up the scores for all three players. That’ll give you the answer to the briefcase under the house made of poker chips. From left to right, the combination for each lock is: 1 – 2 – 8, then 0 – 8 – 4, then 0 – 8 – 6. Press the button on the inside of the briefcase.
Now, the last and final puzzle is a little convoluted. See all the miniature homes? If you press the red, green, and blue buttons in the middle of the room, each house lights up with a different letter:
- Find the three cheapest homes.
- Starting with the cheapest home, press each of the buttons and right down each letter that appears. Start with red, then green, then blue. You should have nine letters altogether, in three groups of three.
- Rearrange the letters within each group to spell a word. It’ll be different for everyone. I got the groups “BLA”, “OUR” and “GIN,” which spells LABOURING.
- Spell out the word using the console on the wall.
You’ll reappear in the lab, the door to the Chemicals Closet will open to a message. It says you can’t escape, but I say otherwise!
Solving the Pipe Puzzle in Terminal Escape Room: Chapter 4
In the Chemicals Closet, grab the wrench, chain cutters, and sledgehammer. Each tool has a specific purpose:
- Using the sledgehammer, break every piece of piping from the walls.
- Using the chain cutters, free the desk stool. That’ll come into play shortly.
- Use the wrench on the board under the periodic table that says “The Game Room.” Take the board and keep in your inventory for now.
With the stool in hand, you can place it on each of the tables. You’ll need this to reach the ceiling above, moving the stool as needed since the ceiling is broken up into four sections. Those pipes you tore from the walls? Those are needed now!
Since this is one of the few puzzles that has the same solution for everyone, use the screenshot above for guidance. Place the piping exactly how it appears!
With the wooden board in hand, use it on the Bunsen burner, located to the right of the checkerboard. It’ll cause the Fume Hood to expel gas, then reveal a hidden chute to escape through and that’s the end to chapter 4 of Roblox Terminal Escape Room!
