President Joe Biden’s recent diagnosis isn’t stopping him from fighting to remain in the White House. Amid widespread calls for the Democrat to step away from the 2024 Presidential race, Biden was diagnosed with COVID-19. However, he is doing all he can to dispel worries by attacking his opponent, Donald Trump.
Shortly after The White House confirmed Biden’s health update, the president took to Twitter to poke fun at his condition. “I’m sick,” he wrote in his first post, before adding, “of Elon Musk and his rich buddies trying to buy this election. And if you agree, pitch in here.” The 81-year-old attached a donation link to the post. Hours earlier, The White House Press Secretary released a statement about the president’s diagnosis.
Earlier today following his first event in Las Vegas, President Biden tested positive for COVID-19. He is vaccinated and boosted and he is experiencing mild symptomps.”
The president will self-isolate in Delaware, the statement confirmed. However, he will carry out all his office duties during this period. Biden canceled his speech at a conference for UnidosUS in light of his diagnosis.
President Joe Biden Assures He Is ‘Good’ Fans Worry
Biden later seconded the White House’s message with a personal statement on his official page. The leader of the free world promised citizens he was “feeling good.” He vowed to “continue to work to get the job done” amid isolation. Also, in a run-in with the media, while heading to Delaware, the politician gave a thumbs-up to the camera while mouthing, “I feel good.”
Despite Biden’s guarantee, fans’ fears aren’t subdued. Many took to Twitter to share their opinions. “He’s old. Covid is likely more deadly than having someone shoot you in the EAR…. let’s all pray for poor old Joe,” one fan wrote. Another comment read, “Nobody wants to see anything bad happen to him. Just wish he’d drop out.”
