With Treyarch revealing Black Ops 6 with a Television telling us that The Truth Lies, anyone would fall for the latest fake secret Zombies teaser that was accordingly taken from Black Ops Cold War. The news of discovering something new in a 4-year-old Black Ops game went wild, and even I, as part of the Call of Duty Zombies community, believed it. However, the story took the wrong route, and the Treyarch director Kevin Drew had to step in to clear the picture!
What Is The Black Ops 6 Zombies Fake Teaser Story?
It all began with a Reddit user seemingly discovering a secret from a Wardialer in the Black Ops Cold War‘s terminal. The user then proceeds to upload a video, sharing a secret email that wants anyone finding it to send a message. Now many of us sent a message to the unknown contact, and some pieces of images were received.
Surprisingly enough, the anonymous user had uploaded images somehow relating to the Liberty Falls Black Ops 6 Zombies map. This is while the story was going so wild, that Milo, a prominent CoD Zombies content creator known as MrRaflWaffles put time to investigate and finally found a mysterious website. He then shared his discovery on his official X account, where Kevin Drew, the director of Treyarch himself commented on the case.
This is where things went even more weird, as Charlie Intel appeared on the scene and uploaded an official post stating that this whole secret teaser of Black Ops 6 Zombies is fake. Meanwhile, Kevin Drew’s comment under Milo’s post was “Am I Really Who I Say I Am?” meaning that it might be the whole Truth Lies scenario where Activision and Charlie Intel are lying?!
Later, Drew added another comment to the post, killing our hopes that this Black Ops 6 Zombies teaser would be the ultimate secret and not a made-up adventure. According to his comment, we need to trust Activision and not get him into trouble. And that’s it.
For what it’s worth, it was a really exciting journey of hidden secrets and discovery, even if all this was a lie to begin with. This states the whole premise of Black Ops 6 and how The Truth Lies, and I think whoever is behind this community easter egg should be thanked or even maybe invited to Treyarch to throw more puzzles like this in different maps of the upcoming Call of Duty game.
But It’s Not Over Yet..
After all the truth/lies catch play, an unusual ending makes this journey a scary plot. At the end of MrRaflWaffle’s stream, he heard some noises like “someone being dragged on the floor,” and when he went to check on it, the lights were killed. He is nowhere to be found, and oddly enough, some people think that this is a trick pulled off by Treyarch and Milo to further hype the game.
Now one thing that MrRaflWaffle is known for in the community, is that he’s lost contact with the Call of Duty devs after going on a rant on Black Ops 4 Zombies. He later slammed Vanguard Zombies and finished the combo by hitting MWZ. That said, could it be Treyarch who’s been hiding their secret? Or is he in real trouble, and something happened at the end of his stream? We’ll let you know as soon as we get an update.
