TennoCon 2024 was one of the best and most packed events we’ve had for Warframe in years. While we got news about Warframe 1999 and Soulframe last year, the former gave us a considerable glimpse at many of its features and even unveiled a potential release date. If you thought this would be a normal expansion with a couple of added features, it is much more than that. Infested boy bands, romance, and iconic Protoframes are just some of the few things awaiting you in Winter 2024.
If you didn’t catch TennoCon 2024, don’t worry; we’ve gathered all the juicy details coming to Warframe 1999 when its release date gets closer and attached the 22-minute gameplay showcase for you to see. There are many things to break down from this convention, so let’s go over some of the biggest reveals because, oh boy, there are many.
Infested Boy Bands
Many might have had different things on your bingo cards for TennoCon 2024, but I bet you didn’t have Infested Boy Bands as one of the things we’d see. Well, it happened, and as the young generation says, it slaps. Digital Extremes created a full-fledged boy band for Warframe 1999, and you don’t have to wait for the release date to check it. The single is already out if you want to join the many fans of On-Lyne. Don’t get too attached, though, because it seems you might be facing the boy band in a not-so-pleasant way.
Love In Times of Infestation
While your main goal is chasing an infested boy band and an over-the-top villain, that shouldn’t prevent you from doing one important thing: romancing someone. While we only got a small preview of this system, Warframe 1999 will let you romance other characters. However, the big takeaway from this is the huge cast of voice actors lending their voices to Protoframes, including Amelia Tyler (Baldurโs Gate 3), Kevin Afghani (Super Mario Bros. Wonder), Melissa Medina (Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail), Trieve Blackwood-Cambridge (Forza Horizon 5), Alpha Takahashi (Cyberpunk 2077), and Ben Starr (Final Fantasy XVI).
New Warframe, Mounts, And More
Last but not least, there are many more things coming with this enormous update. Players can expect a new Warframe, Cyte-09, to arrive with the release date of Warframe 1999. Alongside this, the Gemini Series Skins is also launching with the expansion. This system will allow you to deploy two fashion frames at the same time. At launch, we’ll see this system with the six Protoframes coming to Warframe 1999. Furthermore, you can take a stylish trip across 1999 with your Atomicicle, which you can summon at any moment.
Warframe 1999 is one of the biggest and most ambitious updates we’ve seen in years. While we’ll all have to wait until Winter 2024 to try it, the hype is already up. This is a fantastic concept that we haven’t seen before and a fantastic new approach to the decade-old game. So, if you haven’t grabbed your favorite Tenno for a while, now’s the time before Arthur and his gang debut by the end of this year.
