Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez fans continue to await the estranged couple’s official divorce announcement. However, they could be waiting at least a couple more months as they continue to hash out their official ‘exit strategy.’
Insiders close to Jennifer and Ben have revealed that she has crafted what she believes to be the most strategic plan for their relationship’s future. According to Closer Online, Ben Affleck has reportedly agreed to Jennifer Lopez’s proposal for ‘occasional staged outings‘ as they navigate the delicate process of announcing their divorce.
The couple reportedly estranged for several months, living separately in separate homes. Even so, Jennifer is reportedly not quite ready to go public with the news of their imminent divorce. They claim that even though all signs point to the end of their marriage, JLo can’t quite bring herself to give up on their romance officially.
“Jen is a genius when it comes to putting on a show for the cameras,” the insider said. “She’s trying hard not to be too pushy as she’s afraid to scare him off even more. Right now, the occasional staged outing is as much as he’s agreed to. The rest of the time, they’re in touch, but there’s not a whole lot of communication going on.”

The ‘Bennifer’ insider adds that JLo is “clinging to the possibility” of fixing her marriage before divorce papers are filed. “And if they can’t, they’ll work on the terms of their exit strategy — like when they’ll go public with it all,” the source continued.
Ben Affleck’s recent actions indicate his readiness to bring closure to his marriage with Jennifer Lopez and move forward with his life. His purchase of a new home, a significant step, has been a painful realization for Jennifer.
But even so, Jen is grasping at straws in hopes that something will change before they finalize their divorce. Recent reports reveal that the divorce papers are ready and awaiting the estranged couple’s signature, but Jennifer is using every stall tactic possible to prolong things for now.
Those close to Ben Affleck also alleged that the Gone Girl star has not been in the best place since his split from Jennifer Lopez. Even so, he is eager to get the ball rolling. However, he still cares very deeply for Jennifer, so he will give in to this one last request.
