As we hope for the dawn of Urzikestan just so we get our beloved Verdansk back, a brand new future Warzone map is leaked online. The news is wild as the new map looks pretty much like none of the ones we had before in Call of Duty. This future Warzone map is probably the project Avalon that was supposed to see the light of day this year with Black Ops 6, and clearly, it’s so not finished according to what we can observe from the leaks.
The leak comes from the ModernWarzone account on X, posting a video of what looks to be a Warzone map. But before we start on details about the map itself, did you see the Black Ops 6 HUD too? That’s very intriguing as the heavy rumor of Verdansk’s return in 2025 was overshadowing the Call of Duty: Warzone community.
So, are we going to play this map first? Or will there be two Battle Royale mode maps with Black Ops 6 this year? Well, my money is on the next Call of Duty game that’s coming after Black Ops 6 in 2025, which is also a Black Ops game, inheriting the same UI as this year’s Call of Duty. So still, we get Verdansk first, and then the new future Warzone map you see in the 2 minutes long video above.
Diving into details with the clip, the map is separated by smaller islands to the east, and a larger land surrounded by the sea on the west. There are bridges connecting every island, and there are also more details on the far west of the map.
But notice the Killstreak bar on the right side of the HUD and the death/score counter on the top left. This might be a big map for the 32 vs 32 fights in Black Ops 6 or the future Black Ops game, which might also be a part of the Warzone map that’s about to be released in the upcoming years.
As of right now, nothing is officially confirmed so we take all of this footage with a grain of salt. There’s less than a month to the Call of Duty: Next event on August 24, 2024, so we might hear more about this map on that day.
