Miranda Lambert went low-cut and leggy as she attended the 2022 CMT Awards in a stunning dress, but the country singer nonetheless wound up shamed for her style. All smiles as she posed for red-carpet photos with husband Brendan McLoughlin, the 40-year-old confidently displayed her curves in a glittery number, looking glam in high heels and with a fun, bright pink purse adding plenty of color.
When users on The Daily Mail saw the photos, they chose to body-shame Miranda, with cruel remarks suggesting that she should have picked her dress in a “bigger size.” Miranda, who made 2014 headlines for dropping 20 pounds, has more recently made headlines for allegedly gaining weight, although these reports have accompanied confirmation that the blonde is happy within herself and choosing to focus on loving life rather than dieting.
Miranda Lambert Shows Off Glittery Style At CMT Awards
Opting for a ruched, wrap-effect dress with a thigh-grazing length, Miranda showed off her shapely legs and hourglass waistline as she went plunging at the neckline.
Inching her way toward a blazer minidress as she rocked long sleeves and with plenty of sparkle on her fabrics, the Idyllwind founder showcased a golden tan as she flashed her curves, posing in red heels and holding a hot pink clutch purse.
Glowing as she wore foundation under bronzer and with blush lifting her cheekbones, the “Bluebird” hitmaker sported her blonde locks down, going for a soft-waved finish as she let her locks fall past her shoulders. Meanwhile, former NYPD officer husband Brendan went jazzy in a crushed velour suit as he posed with his 2019-married wife.
Body-Shamed For Needing ‘Bigger Size’
This wouldn’t the the first time that Miranda has been targeted by online trolls. Over 150 fans liked a hurtful remark reading: “Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. And she definitely shouldn’t have. What she should have done is bought a dress 3 sizes bigger and covered her chest a bit more.”
Echoing the thought, another said: “She should have chosen a dress in a bigger size with a lot more material and invested in a pair of Spanx.”
While a further fan said that Miranda’s dress wasn’t “flattering,” a separate user even called the curvy star “plump.”
Fans are generally more supportive on Miranda’s Instagram, followed by over 4 million. The account documents the star’s music, Idyllwind clothing brand, marriage, and many pets, plus her non-profit Mutt Foundation helping animals.
In late July, the star channeled major Western vibes in a tight tee and cowboy hat to promote her new Postcards From Texas album.
