There has been some chatter before about Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher wanting to expand their family (they already have two young sons). However, because the musician has had three miscarriages, it is believed that she did not want to conceive again and was instead interested in adopting. And if a new report is to be believed, then that time in the couple’s life has finally come.
“They’re putting plans in motion to welcome another bundle of joy,” Life & Style reports. An insider shared more with the outlet, informing them of why the couple made this decision. “Carrie lost three babies during pregnancies before she had Jacob, and she figured that was God’s plan for her,” a source claims.
Why Is Carrie Underwood Considering Adoption?
The source also claims that Mike Fisher really wants to expand the family and have another child, and for the family, adoption seems to be the best way to do that. “Mike has been gung-ho about adding to their family, so they are going to bring another child into their home,” the insider claims.
Fisher is also a dedicated parent and has helped with the kids while Underwood focuses on her Las Vegas residency. “Mike has had tons of offers to go into coaching, and that appeals to him. But he figures his place is with his family — and not being away eight months out of the year during hockey season,” an insider claimed. Their lives will not always be this busy, and the publication claims that when Underwood is finished with her residency later this year, the family intends to take some time away from the limelight and focus on her family … and their new child.
“They’ve met with lawyers about it,” the insider claims. “And their boys are over the moon thinking about having a little brother or sister added to the family mix!”
If the report is true, it is great to hear that everyone is on board with the new plan to expand the Underwood-Fisher household.
