Katy Perry had multiple users calling her silver corset minidress and matching thigh-highs a fashion fail after her Instagram post went viral. In early July, the 39-year-old updated her feed with a glam shot, showing off her staggering weight loss in a jazzy ensemble.
Rocking retro 2000s vibes as she slipped her curves into a plunging corset dress that showed plenty of skin, Katy added in a mean pair of stomping boots to match, but not everyone was convinced on the style front. While fans on Katy’s Instagram asked if she was having a “mid-life crisis,” those on The Daily Mail used the exact same words, with the comments coming alongside feedback that this was “not a good look.”

Reclining on a gray surface and planting one hand next to her, Katy sizzled in a revealing, metallic number with criss-cross detailing all the way down the front.
Flashing her curves, but mostly showing off that weight loss, the American Idol alum flaunted her whittled-down waist and toned legs in a loud pair of matching metallic boots, completing her look with a ponytail that also allowed parts of her hair to fall down her shoulders. Katy sent the camera a piercing gaze while tagging Dolce & Gabbana for her outfit, one completed by a racy choker necklace.
Wearing a full face of makeup and with blush and bronzer accentuating her cheekbones, Katy shouted out the Italian designer also fronted by the Kardashians, writing: “La @dolcegabanna vita.”
Told It’s ‘Not A Good Look’
While the post earned over 400,000 likes, it didn’t come without backlash. “Wtf is going on with her?! Mid-life crisis?” one fan asked.
Over 140 users, meanwhile, agreed when a fan on The Daily Mail wrote: “Not a good look these days… cover up and more support would look better.”
Directly echoing the thought, a further user replied: “Not a good look. But you can tell she believes she looks smoking hot. Very sad state.” Amid the wave of negative remarks, many comments also came in alleging that Katy’s weight loss is down to Ozempic. Katy is looking much slimmer these days, however she’s never confirmed using the weight loss drug. The singer shocked fans in June as she displayed her weight loss in an open fur coat with nothing underneath while at the Balenciaga Show in Paris.
“Ozempic is not doing her any favors,” one fan said. Begging Katy to gain a little of the weight back, another pleaded: “Katy, you’ve lost your special sparkle!! please put the weight back on.”
