Over a year after Yung Miami and Diddy’s relationship ended, the former has opened up about her experience while dating the rapper. Speaking to her longtime friend Saucy Santana on her podcast Caresha Please, the 30-year-old addressed the numerous scandals surrounding Diddy. When asked why she stayed silent as different lawsuits accused her ex-boyfriend of rape, assault, and sex trafficking, Yung Miami revealed she didn’t have any of such experiences.
“I can’t speak on something that wasn’t my experience, and I can’t speak on something that I don’t know,” she said.
The rapper clarified that at the time, she wasn’t around and never experienced that alleged side of Diddy. Although she didn’t speak out while her ex-boyfriend trended for the wrong reasons, Yung Miami noted that it was a difficult phase for her. She tearfully explained that she felt isolated as nobody called to see how she was doing. Yung Miami also questioned the criticism she received due to her relationship with the disgraced artist. According to her, it was baffling as she dated Diddy in an era where he was focused on his career and love.
“I met him when he was in another era. I met Diddy when the world was celebrating him and giving him his flowers,” she said.
Yung Miami explained that she only celebrated her ex-boyfriend when the world celebrated him. As such, she couldn’t understand why fans wouldn’t let her be.
“I was just celebrating when the world was celebrating him, so why am I being crucified, or why am I being separated?” she asked.
Elsewhere during the chat, Yung Miami said her relationship with Diddy was mutually beneficial. She revealed that dating the 54-year-old gave her opportunities she wouldn’t have otherwise had. She recalled how she became the brand ambassador of DeLeon Tequila. In addition, the rapper said she did the MET Gala and even got ready for Vogue. According to her, Diddy saw something in her as he took her career to the next level.
