However, their actions have many convinced that they are on the brink of divorce. While the couple may have several issues keeping them apart, it seems that one major problem they’ve endured is the criticism of their relationship from people in JLo’s inner circle. Sources claim that not many close to the singer like Affleck.
Page Six reports that Jennifer Lopez’s close friend and business manager, Benny Medina, can’t stand Ben Affleck. Sadly, it seems that the bad blood goes back several years. The outlet suggests that although Medina was instrumental is helping JLo achieve stardom, she parted ways with the manager back in 2003 during her first relationship with Affleck. The actor reportedly had a big influence on Lopez’s decision.
Ben Affleck Isn’t Popular among Jennifer Lopez’s Friends
However, a few years after JLo’s called off engagement with Affleck, she and Medina began working together again. They’re reportedly very close, even though the business manager wasn’t thrilled when the singer reunited with the Batman star.
“The two of them can’t stand each other. They don’t get along and there’s still bad blood,” the informant tells the outlet.
Meanwhile, when Lopez and Affleck reunited, Medina opted to keep “his mouth shut” about their romance.
“His attitude was, ‘I’m gonna say nothing.’ [There] was no, ‘Good for you,’ but also, [he] wasn’t negative,” the insider says. “He knows her, and he knew she was going to marry him no matter what, so what’s the point?” the source told us.
In addition, Lopez has also had issues with her longtime friend, actress Leah Remini, where Affleck is concerned. Remini was reportedly worried about JLo reuniting with the actor and encouraged her to consider all the reasons the pair called it quits in the past.
Remini allegedly told Jennifer Lopez that Ben Affleck is “selfish” and “not fully committed as a partner.” JLo was reportedly furious with her friend’s comments that she cut ties with Remini and didn’t invite her to the wedding. However, the pair have reportedly since reconciled.
It’s unclear if Jennifer Lopez’s friends had anything to do with her alleged split with Ben Affleck. However, the tension couldn’t have been good for the marriage.
