Call of Duty shakes the meta up for Warzone and MW3 in every single season and with almost every single update possible. Some weapons claim the spotlight with full strength like the Static-HV and STG44, while the others remain under their shadow, waiting to be discovered. One of which is the Vel 46 which slaps the Bravo 6 out of the enemies with the new brand new Quartermaster attachment in Warzone and MW3 Season 5 loadouts.
Vel 46 comes with 30 upper and 26 lower torso damage, alongside a 35 bonus headshot damage which is quite nice if you’re an accurate shooter. This is while a 952.2 rpm fire rate of this SMG beats RAM-9, which is a solid A+ on my list considering that RAM-9 is a buffed weapon this season.
Best Vel 46 Loadout in Warzone and MW3 Season 5
- Muzzle: Quartermaster Suppressor
- Underbarrel: DR-6 Hadnstop
- Magazine: 50-Round Mag
- Rear Grip: ZLR Combat Grip
- Stock: Vel A-568 Collapsed
The only thing that you need to fix with the Vel 46 is the mobility, and recoil control. The only way to add that extra mobility that can compete with the ones of Superi 46 and Static-HV is with the no-stock Vel A-568 Collapsed attachment.
This adds 106% negative points to the gunkick, which we’ll deal with by choosing the Quartermaster muzzle, and the ZLR Combat Stock rear grip. And since it’s an MW2 weapon, and all the CoD 2022 guns feel like a truck, we’ll have the DR-6 Hadnstop underbarrel for one last mobility-based attachment.
The best perks to run with the Vel 46 loadout in MW3 are the Gunner Vest for faster reloading, Ghost T/V Camo for staying undetected under the enemy’s radar, Covert Sneakers, and Commando Gloves for reloading while sprinting.
In Warzone, you could go with the Mountaineer, Sleight of Hand on tier-1 perks for reducing fall damage and get a bonus speed on your weapon reloads. Escapist for the second perk as it’ll grant you 20% more speed, which comes in handy when you’re playing with heavy MW2 guns. And at last, the almighty Flex perk so that enemy mines won’t kill you off so you won’t be losing to a pesky camper.
The Vel 46 is a beast in close-range combat, and this is while Vel 46’s pick rate in Warzone and MW3 Season 5 is less than 5%. It’s quite evident that the developers are showing some love for the older MW2 guns with buffs, and releasing fun conversion kits for them so that the players pick these weapons again.
However, the meta is still inevitable. You might be able to win a 1v1 fight with a Static-HV player using this Vel 46 loadout in Season 5, but you have to be accurate. Regardless, it’s fun to play with a rusty MW2 SMG once in a while.
