Following last week’s episode, the third season of Better Call Saul has passed the halfway point, as the show edges closer and closer to its climax. Not only did โOff Brandโ display some fallout from the trial, it only revealed the true origins of the man’s name in who appears in the title card, Saul Goodman.
With Jimmyโs new production industry up and running, what will be the focus of the company? More importantly, who will be the client’s (Starwipe).
โOff Brandโ also shows that despite his loss in court, and likely because of it, Chuck isnโt going to just give up on life – after a rousing pep talk and expensive liquor from Howard – and that he is trying to cure his illness. Near the end of the episode we see him contact the doctor from season 1 and 2 who told him his sickness was all mental, but will, and how can she help cure him?

Next time on Better Call Saul reveals what can be assumed to be a conversation between Mike and Nacho in a dimly lit area. Nacho says โHeโs a dead man,โ possibly referring to Hector Salamanca after the events of the last episode, and Mike simply asks โIf heโs got the money.โ
If this is the case, it should be interesting to see what happens considering all the cards on the table in regards to the situation. We know Hector doesnโt die because of Breaking Bad – but is in a wheelchair – and we also know that Gus doesnโt just want Salamanca dead, he wants him to suffer, so what is the end result?
More importantly, the best relationship on Better Call Saul could start to be going downhill this episode, as Kim can be heard concernedly asking Jimmy that โWe arenโt actually doing this are we,โ followed by a somewhat tense interaction between her and Mesa Verde. Itโs one of the questions thatโs been on everyone’s mind since the start of the show, how does Jimmy mess up with Kim?
The answer has always been guessed to be Saul Goodman for obvious reasons. But is it because of Saul Goodman productions or the man Jimmy becomes running it?
Whether he is faking or not, Jimmy can also be seen emotionally saying, โItโs hard, itโs very hard.โ
All of those questions and more will be answered Monday, so be sure to check back to the site for our official review of Better Call Saulโs fourth episode of the season, which will go up immediately following โExpensesโ at 10 pm EST.
