Amazon Games has just announced that its upcoming game, New World: Aeternum, is getting an open beta next month. The open beta will start on September 13 and will last for three days, ending on Monday, 16th September. If you want to make sure you have as much time with the game as possible, you can preload the game on September 11. Fans will be able to play the New World: Aeternum open beta on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. The trailer is available below:

The open beta is not available globally, however, as only people in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia Pacific will be able to participate. Amazon has confirmed that crossplay will be available between all platforms during the open beta.

New World: Aeternumโ€™s full release is not too far after the end of the open beta. Players will be able to experience the full game on October 15 when it comes out on the aforementioned platforms. Those who get into the open beta will be able to see how much the game has changed after the complete overhaul.

Those who get their hands on the open beta will be able to carry over their progress (rewards) to the full game when it comes out in October, getting a head start on people who join in later.

For the uninitiated, Amazon’s New World: Aeternum is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game that was originally released back in 2021. The game has gone through a major overhaul with changes across the board. New World: Aeternum now has improved combat, cross-play, better controller support, narrative improvements, and much more. The core of the game remains the same. Fans will still be able to choose from different classes, go on varied quests, and experience a large-scale PvP zone that is new to the game.
