The Dancing with the Stars family has suffered a massive blow thanks to the arrest of Artem Chigvintsev. Authorities recently took the pro dancer into custody in relation to a domestic violence case. Chigvintsev is married to WWE star Nikki Garcia, and they recently marked a milestone.
Chigvintsev’s arrest happened on Thursday morning in Napa Valley, California. Per TMZ, they booked him into Napa County Jail on a felony domestic violence charge. The police have not released any details about the victim or the other parties involved, if any. However, it is worth noting that his wife was in Napa then. Garcia shared an Instagram Story update hours before his arrest. The former wrestler celebrated getting a facial at a Napa Valley spot. It remains unclear if she had anything to do with the trouble, but she hasn’t posted anything on her page since.
Chigvintsev and Garcia married in 2022 and share a 4-year-old son, Matteo. Their relationship began in 2019 when they were paired on Dancing with the Stars.

The troubling news comes just days after the lovebirds celebrated their second wedding anniversary. Chigvintsev and Garcia dedicated heartwarming tributes to each other on social media. The one half of the Bella Twins shared a video from their wedding set to Haley Reinhart’s Can’t Help Falling in Love. She gushed in the caption:
“This song is our love story. I’ll never forget where I was when I asked Jesus about Artem. Having a conversation with He & God. How my feelings felt too soon. It all felt too fast. And then this song came on. And that’s when I knew that I was falling in love with him and that it was all meant to be.”
Chigvintsev, on the other hand, kept his tribute short. “Happy anniversary, my love. I can’t see my life without you. You are my everything,” he wrote. Everything seems great in their paradise. Hopefully, it remains that way when the case unfolds.
