Billy Ray Cyrus isn’t having a great time by himself post-divorce. The country singer, who recently finalized his divorce from his third wife Firerose, is reportedly trying to re-integrate himself into the Cyrus fold. However, his attempts might be blocked by the new man of the house.
Per reports, the Old Town Road singer hopes to find a shoulder to lean on as he goes through this difficult phase. “Billy Ray is going through the worst time of his life with the divorce from Firerose and all these money problems,” the source told InTouch Weekly. “He’s incredibly needy and attempting to lean on Tish and get sympathy.” However, Tish isn’t the only family member he wants to reconnect with. The estranged patriarch also wants to fix things with his children, especially Miley Cyrus.
It is no news that the pair haven’t been on good terms since Tish and Billy’s divorce in 2022. However, their relationship was further strained when he allegedly called Miley a “skank” and “devil” in a leaked audio conversation. Sources say Billy is “dead” to his famous daughter, but he still wants to try his luck. “He wants to make it right with everyone, not just Tish, but Miley [Cyrus] and his other kids.” Unfortunately, the 63-year-old’s redemption tour already faces opposition from Tish’s new man, Dominic Purcell. The Prison Break star is reportedly suspicious of Billy’s intentions.
“Dominic is scoffing at this because Billy Ray treated Tish like garbage for so many years, he’s not buying it.”
The source added, “Dominic and Tish’s marriage is solid, they’ve done their therapy, they’re good, and Billy Ray’s the personal space invader that neither of them wants.”

Billy’s reconciliation attempts come less than a month after he celebrated his successful divorce from Firerose. The Achy Breaky Heart singer filed to end things with the younger songstress in June after just seven months of marriage. The exes went through a tumultuous divorce, plagued with physical abuse and manipulation allegations.
However, all the drama was over in three months, with a judge declaring each party legally single on August 5. As part of the divorce settlement, Bill was asked to hand over his claims to credits and royalties for songs they wrote and published while married. Firerose, on the other hand, walked away with no dime. Billy celebrated the judgment with a scathing statement. “This has been absolutely the most crazy insane scam I have ever heard of,” he declared. “Not only was it a web of lies that put me in physical danger, it was a matter of the heart. Love is blind, that’s for sure.”
