Katy Perry is looking back at her past relationships with no fondness in her heart. The singer seems to have found her happily ever after with fiancé Orlando Bloom. Together, they share a daughter, Daisy Dove. However, before her current blooming romance, the Roar singer was into a certain type of man that wasn’t good for her.
In a snippet for her highly anticipated Call Her Daddy podcast appearance, Perry dished on her past romantic woes. When asked by host Alex Cooper if she has a type, the songstress joked, “I am no longer attracted to narcissists.” She then revealed the “red flags” she no longer tolerates in a partner after her horrible dating experiences.
“Anyone that is constantly changing the goal post or pulling the rug out from you emotionally…Not it. Anyone that says that they know you better than you know yourself..Someone that won’t just help.”
As for the green flags she looks out for, the former American Idol judge confessed that her love language is acts of service. “It’s like if I come downstairs and the kitchen is clean and you’ve done it all. You’ve done all the dishes and closed all the pantry doors. You better be ready to get your d**k sucked,” she gushed.
Was Katy Perry’s Shade Towards Ex-husband Russell Brand?
While Katy Perry didn’t mention any names in the teaser, her ex-husband, Russell Brand, comes to mind. Her marriage to the English actor, which dramatically ended over a text, is her most chaotic relationship so far. In a 2013 Vogue interview, the Dark Horse crooner hinted that Russel couldn’t handle her thriving career. “He didn’t like the atmosphere of me being the boss on tour,” she said. “So that was really hurtful, and it was very controlling, which was upsetting.”
Perry has since learned from her mistakes. She shared her lessons in an interview with Paper Magazine, saying, “I’m very pragmatic and logistical, and I am less fantastical about things. I mean, I was married when I was 25. I’m 34. It was almost 10 years ago…I’m just such a different person than I was.”
