Black Ops 6 Liberty Falls Is A Multiplayer Map, And That’s Ok

I just hope we see Richtofen again

This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is promising huge content for the Zombies mode, hyping fans by showing the terrors of Terminus Island and Richtofen’s return in Liberty Falls. But while the trailers are Zeus-level epics, the gameplay of the Liberty Falls map has pumped massive rage into the Zombies community during the past week. People are saying that Liberty Falls is nothing but a Multiplayer map, but this point has two sides to review.

So while Liberty Falls is not a genuine Multiplayer map, it’s got the least Zombies vibes to get along with. We’re talking about that dark theme of horror here, something that we’re used to seeing in Call of Duty Zombies for 15 years, and it was almost cut with MWZ the last time we checked. That said, even if Liberty Falls were made chiefly of reused assets from Multiplayer and Campaign, I would still count it as a perfect map only if it kept the classic Zombies tone.

Take Nuketown Zombies from Black Ops 2 for example. Just a Multiplayer map with handiwork aesthetics, right? It is a dark and gloomy area with limited free-roaming parts, which makes it harder for players to fool the undead. Perks fall from the sky while the story of it takes place exactly at the same time as The Moon from Black Ops 1; hence why zombies’ eyes turn blue in level 25 when Richtofen takes control of the undead.

Do we have all that rich details to say about Liberty Falls now? No. And that’s precisely the problem here with this map. It does not matter if a Zombies map is taken from Multiplayer or Campaign as long as it’s got that shift into the dark theme of the undead.

Now, still, I have two Aetherium Shields to defend the Liberty Falls with:

  1. Liberty Falls is not fully released yet. During the CoD Next event, Kevin Drew of Treyarch confirmed that all the in-game quests and easter eggs are turned off. That said, we have 0 idea what’s happening on the map and what the main goal is; except for the fact that Richtofen has ordered his men to lock down the city.
  2. Liberty Falls map is for the casual Black Ops 6 Zombies players. If a Warzone and Multiplayer player decides to kick some zombies after his Battle Royale sessions, Liberty Falls is there for them.

So until October 25, 2024, we should sit back, relax, and wait for Treyarch’s final touch on Liberty Falls. If nothing, we still have Terminus Island to look up to and another brand new map that’s coming in Black Ops 6 Season 1.

Amir is an absolute Call of Duty nerd, preferring shooter games more than everything. However, he does like to do uppercuts in Mortal Kombat and feel the NOS going through the engines in Need For Speed games.
