Sea of Thieves, an online multiplayer game centered around the life of a pirate, has finally received a release window. Gamers will be able to take to the open seas in early 2018 on Xbox One and PC.
Rare, the developers behind some fan favorites Conker’s Bad Fur Day and Banjo-Kazooie, first revealed the game at last year’s E3. This year, they released a full walkthrough trailer that showed gamers what to expect from actual gameplay. The footage focused on a few pirates trying to find treasure inside a sunken ship. As the pirates descend under the waves, dangers like sharks and other sea creatures are shown. Further into the gameplay, we see the pirates exploring a cave where the importance of working as a team quickly becomes apparent. Without the protection of your fellow pirates, grabbing the gold for your ship is impossible.
The first official conference of E3 2017 has yet to disappoint, but there is plenty more still to come! Here is an official schedule for your viewing pleasure, and make sure to stick around for Bethesda’s conference later tonight! And, as always, keep an eye on The Nerd Stash as we will be showing and covering the events live!
