Open-world games with so many complex mechanics sometimes require considerable space in your storage. However, it’s sometimes challenging when some titles are also available for mobile, like the HoYoverse games. Many users have had to uninstall HSR or Genshin Impact and even refrain from downloading ZZZ because of all the space each one needs. According to leaks, this could change — at least for Honkai Star Rail 2.6 — as the universe size could be reduced even though there are more planets to explore on the Trailblazing path.
In the leaks, they mention that the adjustments could directly affect the game client. So, Honkai Star Rail 2.6 could require a partial or complete download of the entire client for this size optimization. This will allow many players to return, and those with PC or console, to play from one more platform for greater convenience. The community is happy with this possible change, especially since Honkai Star Rail has a larger file size than Genshin Impact. It’s difficult to understand how a game that has been on the market for more than a year can outweigh a game that has been on the market for four years.
Fortunately, the HSR team is always looking for ways to include QoL changes in their updates, but without a doubt, this is one of the best adjustments to the game. Not many are as excited to download the 500 GB of new files for Honkai Star Rail 2.6, but in the end, it will be worth it as long as my phone doesn’t explode from the size of all the files. Remember that this is still a leak; we recommend waiting for an official announcement or even the Special Program. During these livestreams, the company explains any new mechanics, kits, and changes in detail.
