When Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton went public with their relationship many fans were surprised. The country music star and the pop princess seemed like an unlikely match. However, over the years they’ve proven that opposites can attract. The duo are now married and raising the No Doubt singer’s three sons together. However, they haven’t figured out everything. Stefani is allegedly very upset by one of Shelton’s most beloved hobbies.
According to Life and Style, Gwen Stefani can’t stand the fact that Blake Shelton loves to hunt. His hobby of hunting animals is said to have created some ill feelings between the spouses. As a vegan and animal rights activist, Stefani is said to be struggling with Shelton’s favorite pastime.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are Butting Heads Over as Sensitive Issue
“They agreed to disagree about his hunting back when they first got together, but that doesn’t mean it’s an easy thing for Gwen to handle,” a source revealed. “She’s a huge animal rights person, and has been mostly vegan for a long time, so it’s pretty hard to have her husband out there killing animals for a good time.”
“She’s certainly tried to get him to see her point, but it’s not something he will ever back down on. Still, the least he could do is be a little more low-key about it,” the insider continued. “He seems to get a kick out of rubbing it in her face, even though he knows it makes her sick to her stomach.”
The informant went on to say that Stefani and Shelton‘s friends are now worried that this will be the final straw in their marriage. The two singers appear to be very different, and it’s concerning for those close to them.
Meanwhile, fans chimed in with their thoughts about the situation, and it seems that several sided with Shelton on the issue.
“You knew about this before you married him, and you aren’t going to change him,” one person commented.
“If he is just killing animals to kill animals, that’s not cool,” another stated.
“She wants him to change but she doesn’t change at all. Change for her doesn’t mean stop being vegan, it means tolerating hunting by someone else provided it’s low key. She needs to change her own views. But she won’t because she thinks she’s not wrong. She thinks she has the high ground,” a third comment read.
“She needs to get over it,” a fourth person quipped.
Over the years, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have tackled everything that life has thrown at them. Since the country singer has been a hunter for several years, it seems that it may be something that she has to learn to live with.
