Katy Perry didn’t receive the best Instagram feedback as she stepped out in New York City yesterday. Putting on a leggy display ahead of the MTV VMAs, the 39-year-old hinted at what was to come as she modeled a white two-piece, with her floaty, flirty look teasing her red carpet outfit later that evening.
In photos shared to Just Jared on Wednesday, Katy flaunted her weight loss in a minuscule miniskirt and skimpy top, flashing her curves but also drawing attention to her slimmed-down silhouette. The “Roar” hitmaker has spent much of 2024 sparking Ozempic rumors, with comments left to these snaps including mentions of the weight loss drug. For some, snakeskin is a must-have. Katy Perry Goes Leggy In NYC Miniskirt
Displaying her toned legs as she flashed her abs, Katy shouted out the 2000s in a distressed, slightly ripped look. Going matching, the “Woman’s World” hitmaker wore a sleeveless cami top with a deep neckline, ditching the bra while rocking a chest cut-out.
Going funky with hanging suspenders from her top, Katy added in a thigh-skimming miniskirt, completing her minimal ensemble with a pair of knee-high boots. Taking a walk on the wild side, Katy injected pops of pink and tan from her snakeskin print footwear, here continuing a theme she’s already made 2024 headlines for.
Katy also rocked shades, sporting her raven hair down and wearing a matte layer of makeup. Unfortunately for the mom of one, users quickly ridiculed her fashion choice.

Replies poured in fast. “Small reminder: having money does not mean dressing well,” a popular reply read. “Poor girl, she doesn’t have clothes of her size,” another said.
Thinking that Katy looked cheap, a third responded: “All of a sudden she’s, wearing hoochie mama outfits at her age,” with a further user simply replying: “She looks ridiculous.”
Elsewhere, users commented on Katy’s weight. “Ozempic really seems to age people,” one fan said, with over 160 others agreeing. Others, however, couldn’t quite put their finger on it, with one fan saying: “What is happening here?! She looks great, but something is just off, maybe her face… just doesn’t look good.”
Katy went on to model a ripped bralette and low-slung matching skirt at last night’s VMAs. Fans, once again, lashed out, with one asking: “What’s happening to her?”
Perry walked away from the star-studded night with the MTV Video Vanguard Award, presented to her by fiance Orlando Bloom.
