Miranda Lambert fell victim to cruel body-shamers in 2022, when November photos showed her attending the 67th Annual BMI Country Awards. Showing off a leggy minidress and heels look, the 40-year-old stunned on the red carpet, sending the cameras a big smile as she put on a couple’s display with husband Brendan McLoughlin.
Sizzling in a green and black number, Miranda flaunted her shapely figure in sky-high stilettos, but she was instantly critiqued as the photos were circulated by The Daily Mail. Alongside telling Miranda to dress for her “shape,” users called the look “not flattering,” with one fan gaining likes for saying that it was “too tight.” Miranda has since dropped jaws at the 2024 MTV VMAs, where she rocked up in a plunging pantsuit that seemed to show some weight loss.

Posing as former NYPD officer Brendan wrapped his arm around her, Miranda sizzled in a long-sleeved, thigh-grazing dress in block black and green.
Rocking segmented satin fabrics around a bodice top half, the “Bluebird” hitmaker highlighted her curves, showing off her hourglass waistline while going racy in her black miniskirt. Rocking blazer accents from structured shoulder pads, Miranda accentuated her figure as she wore strappy green stilettos, adding some sparkle here and coordinating her footwear with her crystal-studded green purse.
Sporting her long blonde locks down, Miranda wore green eyeliner and eyeshadow, plus plenty of warming foundation that lifted her high cheekbones. The country music star also rocked hoop earrings, plus a black manicure.
Body-Shamed As Dress ‘Too Tight’
Fans didn’t hold back. Topping replies with over 200 upvotes was a user writing: “Those are some seriously ugly clothes on each and every one of them. Miranda ought to wear something more flattering.”
“Not a flattering dress. At all!” another echoed. Remarks also turned into body-shaming ones as one fan said that Lambert didn’t “have the legs for it.” Suggesting that Miranda had shopped the wrong size, a further user shamed the Idyllwind founder by writing: “Looks like the ladies need less tight and more length to their dresses.”
“Less tight, a little longer – you’d look a whole lot better” was yet another remark.
Fans proved more supportive this week as Miranda sizzled in a gemstone-accent pantsuit for the MTV VMAs. Sizzling in her tight two-piece as she ditched the shirt and looked like a total bombshell, the singer-songwriter put on a confident display with her 2019-married husband, also sharing her look on Instagram.
In a caption, Miranda called the evening her “first rodeo.”
