Furious 7 had a fantastic weekend as it easily took the top stop domestically with $60.5 million making its total gross domestically reaching $252 million making it the ninth fastest movie to reach the $250 million landmark. Worldwide, Furious 7 has brought in $800 million.

Last week, Furious 7 brought in $147 million which was already enough to pass three other movies in the franchise. In just 10 days, the movie has now become the top grossing Fast & Furious movie in the franchise. With the rest of month having little to no competition, Furious 7 is guaranteed to reach at least $350 million. Depending on how it holds over the next couple weeks, it could even pass $400 million.

Not only did Furious 7 dominate in the domestic box office, it brought it $195 million this weekend from the foreign market. That includes a total of $68.6 million from its opening day in China. With China being one of the larger foreign markets, the movie should play very well there as it has already shown in just one day.

With the movie receiving critical praise from both fans and critics Furious 7 could reach as high as $1.4 billion worldwide by the end of its run. This would make the movie the fourth highest grossing movie of all time behind Avatar, Titanic and Marvel’s Avengers.

For the rest of the movies, Home (2015) only dropped by 29% holding the second spot with $19 million bringing its total to $129 million. The animated movie is set to close around $185 million by the end of its run.

Newcomer, The Longest Ride brought it $13.5 million. The romance film should close with around $30 million. Comedy Get Hard dropped to forth and grossed $8.6 million bringing its total to $71 million. The Kevin Hart & Will Ferrel comedy should end its run just shy of $100 million.

Cinderella (2015) held very well for its fifth weekend as it brought in $7.2 million. The live action adaptation of the animated film has reached $180 million and should close above $200 million.

Next weekend, three films receive a wide release including Monkey Kingdom, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 & Unfriended. In limited release, both Child 44 & True Story release in 500 theatres. Have you seen Furious 7 and which movie are you excited to see next week?
