However, Aniston recently got an unpleasant surprise when the police showed up to ambush her home after receiving an anonymous tip that all was not well inside the walls of her Beverly Hills mansion. Thankfully, it all turned out to be a cruel prank.
In Touch Weekly reports that Jennifer Aniston’s $21 million Bel Air home was swatted last week after police got a call from an anonymous male who claimed that the actress had threatened suicide. The caller claimed that the actress was his friend and that she was “not doing well” after telling him that she’d see him “on the other side.” The caller requested a welfare check, giving Aniston’s address. However, never mentioned her by name.
Jennifer Aniston’s Home Swatted As Part Of Cruel Prank
The LAPD reportedly arrived at Aniston’s home after midnight and were met by her security who were said to be surprised to see them. After arriving at the home, police found out that it was the star’s residence. She reportedly spoke to the authorities and told them that “everything was OK and that she had no self-harm intentions.”
Unfortunately, Jennifer Aniston isn’t the first Hollywood star have be swatted. The process occurs when a prank call is made to police with an emergency that’s made to dispatch a large number of officers to a scene. In the past, stars like Justin Bieber, Rihanna, and Nicki Minaj have all been victims of swatting.
Fans weren’t thrilled when they learned the news of the prank on Aniston.
“She doesn’t deserve this. Leave her alone. It probably happened because she’s been outspoken about Trump and JD Vance,” one person commented.
“This is wild. Hopefully everything is okay and it didn’t scare her too badly,” said another.
“Waste of police resources and Jennifer’s time,” a third person wrote on Twitter.
“Unbelievable! Police should investigate who did this,” a fourth comment read.
Jennifer Aniston hasn’t spoken out about the incident. However, fans are hoping that she won’t have to go through the drama again in the future.
