Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are currently navigating their divorce. JLo filed to officially end the marriage in August. However, since then the pair have been seen hanging out together with their kids. While it gave fans some hope for a possible reconciliation, it seems that the divorce is still on. Meanwhile, the split may be causing a bit of awkwardness in Affleck’s family as his brother’s girlfriend recently spoke out in support of Lopez.
The Daily Mail reports that Ben Affleck‘s younger brother, Casey Affleck, is dating Caylee Cowan, 26. The couple have been dating since 2021 and Cowan has nothing but nice things to say about her boyfriend’s soon-to-be ex-sister-in-law, Jennifer Lopez.

“I love her so much. I love Jen. Jen is a very generous and genuine person,” Cowan stated. “I hate that she gets so much hate because she’s genuinely one of the nicest, sweetest people ever. She does send flowers for our birthdays which is really thoughtful considering she has so much going on. She’s a thoughtful person.”
Meanwhile, rumors have been flying that Casey isn’t a huge fan of JLo. He famously opted not to attend Ben and Jen’s wedding in 2022. At the time it was revealed he had “family obligations” to deal with instead.
Of course, fans had plenty to say about Caylee Cowan’s comments on Lopez amid her split from Affleck.
“This makes for an awkward family feud. Ben may not like her speaking out in support of JLo,” one person commented.
“Anything for publicity,” another wrote.
“She needs to stay out of it. The fact that she’s so young and decides to date a man 23 years her senior tells a lot about her sense of judgment,” a third person quipped.

Previously, it was reported that JLo’s family and friends aren’t happy with Affleck, per OK! Magazine. It seems that there are sides forming, but for now, Ben and Jen look to be playing nice with each other.
